Meilysa/Rachel Tereliminasi di Semifinal Macau Open 2025: Analisis dan Pembaruan

Meilysa Trias Puspitasari and Rachel Allessya Rose, the Indonesian women’s doubles pair, saw their journey come to an end in the semifinals of the BWF World Tour Super 300 Macau Open 2025 after being defeated by the second-seeded duo from Taiwan, Hsieh Pei Shan and Hung En-Tzu. The match, lasting 1 hour and 14 minutes at Macau East Asian Games Dome, ended with Meilysa/Rachel losing with a score of 19-21, 21-18, 17-21.

Despite starting solidly and even winning the second game, Meilysa/Rachel couldn’t maintain their lead in crucial points in the first and third games, which ultimately decided the final result. In the first game, Meilysa/Rachel, the eighth seeds, briefly led until 18-16 but failed to hold on as Hsieh/Hung scored five consecutive points to secure a 21-19 victory.

Trying to bounce back, Meilysa/Rachel started the second game aggressively and took a 4-0 lead. Although they were caught up at one point, they maintained a slight 11-10 lead at the interval. After a tight competition up to 16-16, the young Indonesian duo remained composed and forced a rubber game by clinching the second game 21-18.

The deciding game was equally intense. Meilysa/Rachel briefly led 5-1, but the Taiwanese pair managed to catch up and level the score. A fierce battle ensued until a tie at 17-17, before Hsieh/Hung secured the victory with a series of four final points.

With this outcome, Meilysa/Rachel’s campaign ended in the top four of the BWF Super 300 tournament. Meanwhile, Indonesia still has three other representatives who will compete for spots in the final today.

The Indonesian representatives in action include men’s singles player Alwi Farhan facing India’s Lakshya Sen, mixed doubles pair Amri Syahnawi/Nita Violina Marwah against Jimmy Wong/Lai Pei Jing (Malaysia), and men’s doubles pair Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani meeting the Taiwanese duo Lee Fang-Chih/Lee Fang-Jen.
